Musician Ckay, whose full name is Chukwuka Ekweani a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on the 16th of July, 1995 in Kaduna State in the North-western region of Nigeria. Also, he is a native of Anambra State in Southeastern Nigeria.
The singer completed his education and a friend introduced him to the production software Fruity Loops where he started as a member of a band which consisted of him and two other bandmates before he completely began his solo career as Ckay.

Ckay whose love for music was been triggered by his father, who was a choir conductor at their local church later relocated to Lagos after he was discovered.
Ckay is a singer who has released tracks in a variety of genres including R&B Afrobeats, and dancehall. In 2017, on the 11th of September, he released his first extended play titled “Who the Fuck is Ckay?” through Chocolate City.
Subsequently, Ckay released his second extended play “Ckay the first ” through Chocolate City followed by his third extended play “Boyfriend” which was through Warner Music South Africa.
On May 4, 2021, Ckay made it known to all through his Twitter that he is no longer signed to Chocolate City but signed to Werner Music South.
Furthermore, in 2018, the cute artist released an Afrobeat record that was influenced y the South African gwara gwara dance style. Fortunately, the song became a breakthrough record and earned his substantial airplay in Nigeria.

In 2019, after the release of “Ckay the First”, his hit single” Love Nwantiti” became a major record in Nigeria. On the 14th of February, 2020, Clay released a remix titled “Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah) where he featured Joeboy and Kwame Eugene.
The song went viral on TikTok and became an international hit, charting across Africa, Australia, Europe, and New Zealand it successfully reached number 23 in the USand earned him his first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100.
In addition, Ckay was featured in a song from Davido’s studio album “A Better Time” titled “La La” which was released on the 13th of November, 2020. He also featured in a song titled “Beggie Beggie” with Ayra Starr.
On the 8th of October 2021, Ckay successfully became the first African artist to his 20 million Spotify Listeners with over 21 million monthly listeners on his Spotify page.
