Career
Cheque started his music career in his undergraduate days. After he graduated, he relocated to Lagos in pursuit of his music career Before his breakthrough and record deal with Penthauze he was known as Kyle B, a stage given to him by a fellow Nigerian artist, Zamora.
He released his five-track EP, S.O.O.N EP which means Something Out of Nothing in 2015 after he landed a record deal with Cruel Station. It featured Fireboy DML, Zamora, and Chinko Ekun.
Furthermore, Cheque was among the contestants in Reminisce’s ‘Murk Reminisce’ challenge in 2018 and got a message from the Penthauze boss during that period.
Subsequently, in 2019, he was officially signed into Phyno’s Penthauze and he maintained the collective track “Nyem Space” which had Nuno and Rhatti, whom Phyno also just signed at that time.
Cheque was chanced to get featured on the track ‘Warlord’ in Olamide’s 999 EP in February 2020. Subsequently, in July 2020, he also released his first EP in Penthauze music titled ‘Razor’ which had the hit tune “Zoom”.

Afterwards, he had a remix of ‘Zoom’ with Davido and Wale. Also in September 2021, Cheque featured Olamide in a single titled LOMl (Love Of My Life) and further released his debut studio album titled ‘Bravo’ on 24 September 2021.
He has so far been able to get love and anticipation from a lot of people. Many people often wondered how he got his stage name ‘Superboy Cheque’. The stage name was gotten in an event where he repeatedly said the word ‘Mic Check’ and the crowd there took pleasure in calling him that throughout the event.
Later, he styled it to ‘Cheque’ after the event and the ‘Superboy’ came in while he was trying to figure out a username for himself on Snapchat. Today, he is popularly referred to as Superboy Cheque.
